Children's Ministry
For infants through Grade 5
Children's Ministry Overview
We are dedicated to helping children grow in their understanding of God’s love and the message of Jesus.
We offer both Sunday School and Churchtime classes. See details below.
We look forward to partnering with you in teaching your children the truths of the Christian faith!
Our Children’s Ministry is run by screened, trained, and eager volunteers who love caring for kids.
The nursery for children up to 24 months of age is available during the Worship service. Classes for 2-3 year-olds and 4-5 year-olds (JK/SK) run during the entire Worship service. Children aged 6–7 (gr.1-2) participate in our Worship Service with their parents and are dismissed to their class midway through the service just before the sermon. Children in grade 3 and up remain in the Worship service with their parents.
All children in the nursery and up to grade 2 must be registered at the Child Check-In Desk prior to proceeding to their class. Parents receive a security tag, which matches the number printed on their child’s name tag. If we need to reach you during the service, your child’s security code will be displayed on the screen located at the front-right of the sanctuary. At the end of the service, parents are required to show their security tag to check out their child.
To ensure the highest level of safety for all children in our ministry, every volunteer is required to undergo a thorough screening and on-boarding process. This includes the completion of a written application, a personal interview, a Vulnerable Sector police background check, and a reference check. Only those who successfully complete each stage are permitted to serve in our children’s programs.
Every classroom is always staffed by at least two volunteers, maintaining the recommended child-to-volunteer ratios. This approach ensures adequate supervision and promotes a safe, nurturing environment for all children participating in our programs.
